Vegetarian Brunch

September 6, 2008

The vegetarian brunch the other weekend went very well. Everyone showed up very hungry so we had to get everything on the table very quickly. Unfortunately that means that I did not get a chance to take many photos. Mrs. P really knows her way around the kitchen! I hope I did not get in the way!

Here is the Benedictine. All it really is, is cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches. Typically Benedictine also has bacon in it. But since this was vegetarian we had to skip the bacon.

The Antipasto turned out great! I think this was my favorite. As you can see by the time I got my camera out it was almost all gone.

I can’t remember the name of this cake. Mrs. P made it up years ago. It uses corn bread and strawberry. Very good!

I think it’s Cake Roxanne? I can’t believe I didn’t even try it! I know the lemon part turned out yummy! We’ll have to get her to make it again.

It IS Cake Roxanne! (Also, Benedictine is made with cream cheese, not sour cream.) And no, you were NOT in the way! I couldn’t have done it without you!

Mrs P – Thanks for the correction on the Benedictine. I knew I had something wrong!
