The Solitary Refinement Laundromat

March 3, 2008

The Solitary Refinement Laundromat is up and running! My dryer came in the other day and I have set everything up. I gave the machines a test “spin” on Saturday. Everything works great! This was definitely a great investment. My first load was 2 long sleeve shirts and 3 pairs of boxers. The Wonder Washer did a great job. It does not have a rinse cycle, so after 15 minutes I dumped the dirty water out and put in clean cold water. I tuned the machine on again and this seemed to work. When the cycle was done the clothes were nice and clean. Here is a video of the washer.

The dryer is real easy. I just loaded the clothes in and set the timer for five minutes. When it is done spinning the clothes are almost dry. All it does is spin the clothes real fast. There is not heat in the machine. One load I did I forgot to put the bucket back for the drain tube. I made a little mess, but also cleaned the floor at the same time! Here is a video of the dryer.

A couple hours on the drying rack and I was done! So now instead of sitting at the Laundromat I sit around home like this.

Is that a Bud in your hand? I’m telling Pink. 🙂

Robert – I would never drink Bud! It is a SweetWater Hummer. A tasty Belgian White Ale brewed with coriander and orange peel.
